Proficiency test for the dimensional measurand: Gauges

Our next proficiency test in the field of the dimensional measurand for gauges is coming up. Don't miss the opportunity to compare your measuring method with other laboratories!

Two sets of feeler gauges, two plug gauges, two setting ring gauges, a reference gauge with plane-parallel measuring faces and a gap gauge are sent as calibration objects. The calibration items must be calibrated in accordance with the relevant VDI guidelines (see description) at 20 °C, if available:

  • VDI/VDE/DGQ 2618 Sheet 4.1:2006-02 Option 4 Test instructions for cylindrical setting standards, plug gauges and ring gauges
  • VDI/VDE/DGQ 2618 Sheet 4.4:2009-09 Test instruction for setting standards with plane-parallel or spherical measuring surfaces as well as for spherical gauge blocks and gauge blocks
  • VDI/VDE/DGQ 2618 Sheet 4.7:2005-06 Inspection instructions for snap gauges

The assigned reference values are determined using the weighted average of all participant results from the accredited calibration laboratories. The results are evaluated on the basis of the Enes value to the assigned value.

Timetable and procedure:

Expression of interest: until April 25, 2025

Planned start: June 2025

A summary of the proficiency test can be found in the description

Description Interlaboratory comparison

The proficiency test takes place in a ring, with a calibration being carried out in the pilot laboratory at least before and after the calibrations at the participants. Each participating laboratory has two calendar weeks to carry out the calibration and is responsible for the insured forwarding of the calibration items. An exact schedule will be sent to the participating laboratories before the start.

Are you interested in our next interlaboratory comparison? Then fill out the contact form below by April 25, 2025. We will then send you a non-binding offer. Participation is binding as soon as the offer has been accepted and an order confirmation has been sent.

Note: A minimum number of eight participating laboratories is required to carry out this interlaboratory comparison.
