Proficiency tests as a bilateral comparison

A bilateral comparison refers to a direct comparison between a pilot laboratory and the inquiring laboratory. The advantage here is the adaptability to the specific needs of the requesting laboratory. In addition, you usually benefit from a faster execution time than with a proficiency test.
